Converted in 40 Days
The following post was written by the newest member of our management team, Andrea Curry. Andrea joins us as the Vice President of Product Management and will play an instrumental role in defining our product roadmap and future direction. Andrea comes to us with over eighteen years of experience designing, marketing, selling and delivering game-changing technology solutions. We are thrilled to have her on board!
I consider myself an avid learner. I’ve had the opportunity to try many different jobs and work with some wonderful mentors over the years. I often consider Google to be my best friend. As a product manager, my job consists mainly of talking with customers, partners and analysts and understanding the market at large. Because of this, I need to evolve my thinking daily.
Still, until recently, I had not considered myself a good eLearner. In fact, I have often been that person who only completed my mandatory training in response to strong management suggestion. (i.e. If you don’t get SOX-certified this weekend, you can’t work here on Monday.) These suggestions have typically been followed by a weekend of simultaneous eLearning and binge watching of Netflix.
I came to Axonify because Carol Leaman, Christine Tutssel and the rest of leadership team here convinced me that there was potential to use technology to change that equation. They told me that eLearning could be an essential component of corporate learning if it were approached differently. As a former founder or employee of a few game-changing technology companies, I consider myself well versed in the potential that technology can have on an industry, but I must confess that I had not fully realized the potential of learning to impact a business.
After 40 days of talking with Axonify’s customers and partners, I’m converted.
I’ve now heard firsthand how our customers are using Axonify to solve, well, just about any business problem. They are reducing safety incidents. They are preventing losses. They are effectively onboarding employees. They are increasing sales. They are reducing turnover. They are improving quality. And, for the first time, they are unequivocally connecting eLearning to these outcomes.
After 40 days, I’m blown away with what Axonify has achieved to date and also very excited at the potential to solve almost any problem through learning. I’m thrilled to be a part of the evolution of our roadmap as we add capabilities for our customers to further improve performance and keep content relevant. I now know that Axonify has every bit as much potential to change the world as any other technology I’ve worked with. And, furthermore, I happily do my 5 minutes of eLearning each day!
