Axonify, the Faculty of Health at York University and the Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest Health Sciences Collaborate to Deliver the Next Generation of Corporate eLearning and Cognitive Neuroscience

WATERLOO, ON – Oct, 24, 2013 – Axonify Inc. today announced a unique collaboration with researchers at York University and the Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest Health Sciences in Toronto that will help people working in the corporate world improve their learning and retention of information during company training.

Drs. R. Shayna Rosenbaum, Alice S. N. Kim and Sylvain Moreno, experts on psychological processes of learning and memory and their underlying mechanisms, will lead the collaboration, which will focus on memory research and knowledge retention.

Leveraging cutting edge neuroscience research on human learning mechanisms, Drs. Rosenbaum, Kim, and Moreno, together with their research team, and with investment from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, will lead the way in optimizing training programs to maximize retention of newly acquired information.

“The opportunity to partner and collaborate with an innovative eLearning software platform like Axonify enables us to not only better relate and enhance our fundamental memory research findings but also link them directly to everyday use and compelling business applications,” said Dr. Rosenbaum.

Axonify’s team will work closely with Drs. Rosenbaum, Kim, and Moreno, using advanced reinforcement algorithms that are already improving knowledge retention across the company’s broad corporate client base.

“Embedding cutting edge research such as theirs into our platform is what truly drives Axonify forward. By using proven principles of behavioral science to reinforce learning every day, we are constantly improving our effectiveness in achieving measurable outcomes for our customers,” said Carol Leaman, President and CEO of Axonify.

“We look forward to a mutually beneficial collaboration that will improve not only the way we understand the brain but also the way we train employees.”
